Intelligent Energy – Europe

Intelligent Energy – Europe programme consists of two sub-programmes: SAVE - Energy efficiency and ALTERNER - renewable energy sources.

Main objectives:

The SAVE programme is the principal focus of European Commission’s non-technological action on energy efficiency. It is the only Union-wide programme dedicated exclusively to promoting energy efficiency and encouraging energy-saving behaviour in industry, commerce and the domestic sector through these activities:

ALTERNER is a specific programme designed to encourage Community’s global energetic strategy to reduce carbon dioxide and to support renewable energy sources by means of promoting legal bases in this field, assisting the implementation of European directives as well as overcoming the obstacles to the energy savings technologies. This programme supports the following activities:
