Bulgaria will receive 41,5 mln. euro under the Norwegian Cooperation Programme and the EEA Financial Mechanism
The two programmes make available 41,5 mln. Euro for projects within a number of identified priority sectors.
The agreement for participation of Bulgaria and Romania in the European Economic Area was officially signed on 25 July 2007 in Brussels. The EEA Agreement provides the basis for joining the Member States of the European Union with the Member States of the EEA – Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland - in a common internal market.
Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein will provide 21,5 mln. Euro to Bulgaria through the EEA Financial Mechanism. Further 20 mln. Euro will be made available by Norway under the Norwegian Cooperation Programme.
